What do you enjoy most about teaching?
I teach because I believe it is my calling. I am always aiming to help each student unravel his or her uniqueness. I also want to install a love of learning in students, so they will always have a desire to grow and develop into the best version of themselves.
Why did you choose to work at Morgan Park Academy?
Morgan Park Academy was such an amazing high school experience for me. When the opportunity arose for me to come back and give to those who helped and inspired me so greatly, I couldn’t pass it up. I feel so lucky to once again be a daily part of this incredible community.
What motivated you to become a teacher?
My goal is to not only be a teacher, but to be an educator — by which I mean a teacher who goes farther than expected. A teacher who makes the relationships with students more important than just the educational material. It is because of those relationships that the material comes alive.
