Nine alumni, one coach, and five teams have been selected from a pool of dozens of nominees for election to Morgan Park Academy's Athletic Hall of Fame and will be inducted in ceremonies at Homecoming on Sept. 22, 2018.
MPA's math team shined at the Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ICTM) state finals, capturing a third-place individual medal and three top-10 finishes in team events in Division 1A competition.
MPA graduating seniors had some very exciting options as they made their college decisions, having gained admission at elite national universities including Brown, Rice, Notre Dame, Cal Berkeley, USC, NYU, Georgia Tech, Wash. U., Tufts, Michigan, and the University of Chicago. MPA students in the past decade have been accepted by 28 of the nation's top 30 colleges and universities, as ranked by US News & World Report.
Four MPA students were among 13 local eighth-graders chosen to participate in the annual student leadership breakfast hosted by Alderman Matt O'Shea, State Sen. Bill Cunningham, and State Rep. Fran Hurley.
Join the MPA community in marching in our neighborhood's historic Memorial Day parade! MPA families will meet in Hansen Hall parking lot at 8:30 a.m. to decorate our float. The parade begins at 110th and Longwood and will end at Ridge Park.
