Morgan Park Academy is seeking a dynamic, collaborative, and innovative Elementary grade teacher to join our Lower School faculty for the 2021-22 academic year.

Rooted in the Whole Child philosophy and guided by Responsive Classroom principles, our teachers create a warm and nurturing student-centered environment in which students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Lower School teachers must be comfortable providing a curriculum based on the following:
– Whole Child developmental needs
– Engaging, hands-on project-based learning environment
– Group and individual learning objectives and academic instruction plans
– Varied assessments to measure learning outcomes
– Process over product approach to curriculum development
– Anti-bias, multicultural learning experience
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in elementary education from a four-year accredited institution and two to five years of teaching experience. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about their desire to teach, lead by example and modeling, eager to embrace and advance the mission of the school, and able to contribute to a teaching partnership and to the direction of the school.
