Michelle Kuipers is an attorney with 10 years of experience in the Chicago legal community specializing in tax law and dispute resolution. During her career, Kuipers served as the Director of the Low-Income Tax Clinic at Ladder Up. She represented low-income Illinoisans in disputes with the IRS and the Illinois Department of Revenue. While there, she helped educate people from all walks of life about tax and financial literacy topics and she saw first hand the power of education tailored to the interests and needs of specific learning styles.
Kuipers remains passionate about education, financial literacy, and giving back to the community. She now continues to educate the public about their rights and impartially resolve disputes as an Appeals Officer for the IRS Independent Office of Appeals.
