Physical education and interscholastic sports are an integral part of the Morgan Park Academy experience, with daily P.E. classes for students through ninth grade and a robust array of competitive, inclusive sports teams that regularly challenge for postseason championships.
The philosophy of the MPA athletics program is tied into our school-wide focus on teaching the whole child and seeing each student as a valued individual with unique physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs. Small class sizes mean that opportunities to participate in athletics are widely available to students.
On the field and on the court, the Warriors bring discipline, determination, and good sportsmanship to each competition and learn teamwork and leadership along the way. In recent years, they have earned NCAA athletic scholarships in basketball, soccer, and tennis.
Morgan Park Academy is a member of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA), which governs interscholastic sports in Illinois, and the Independent School League (ISL), where we compete for league championships with other independent schools in the area.
