Nothing beats advice from those who’ve been there! We welcomed back a dozen young alumni — now thriving at great colleges across the country — to share real-world insights, lessons learned, and tips for success with our students in grades 6-12 on Jan. 9, 2026.

Representing schools such as MIT, Notre Dame, Howard, Cornell, Drake, Loyola Chicago, Benedictine, Saint Mary’s, and Xavier University of Louisiana, the alumni gave students a firsthand perspective on the ways that MPA prepared them for success, from admissions and academics to student life and living away from home.

“I felt that I had to come back to give some guidance to students and to give them a chance to prepare for what’s next for them,” shared Rayne, a sophomore at Loyola University Chicago.

“After leaving MPA and being in a new environment, I wanted to take the opportunity to give back to the community who helped prepare me,” added Erin, a sophomore at Drake University.

“I’ve been at MPA my whole life, and it’s good to come back and give back to that place that made and molded me,” reflected Sheridan, a junior at Howard University.

We are immensely grateful to our young alumni for returning to campus and giving back. Their willingness to share real-world insights helps inspire and prepare the next generation for the exciting journey ahead.

Thank you to Michaela, Andrew, Sheridan, Madison, Erin, Tesneem, Oriella, Oriah, Rayne, Zulema, Dion, and Kennedy!
