Morgan Park Academy proudly concluded its first 50/50 Raffle on December 12, 2025, bringing the school community together in support of student growth, opportunity, and excellence.
Launched this fall, the 50/50 Raffle was designed to directly benefit MPA students while giving participants the chance to win half of the total pot. By the close of the raffle, a total of $11,050 was raised through the generous support of 144 participants.
All of those proceeds will go to support MPA students and teachers after the raffle winner, alumni parent Marcia Thomas, generously donated her half of the winnings back to the school.
Funds raised through the raffle will support:
- Classroom and academic resources
- Performing and visual arts
- Athletics and wellness programs
- Financial aid that opens doors for deserving students
From the outset, the raffle generated strong momentum and enthusiastic participation among families, alumni, and supporters. As ticket sales grew, so did the impact on the students and programs that define the Morgan Park Academy experience.
“Our hope for this raffle was that it would reflect what we value most at MPA — working together and giving back for the benefit of every student,” said Kristy Kotek. “The response from our community affirmed that spirit in a powerful way.”
The winning ticket was drawn on December 12 during the annual Holiday Shop, marking the close of a successful inaugural fundraising effort.
Morgan Park Academy extends sincere gratitude to everyone who purchased tickets, shared the campaign, and helped make the raffle a meaningful success for students.
