We were pleased to welcome Amber Payne ’15 to speak to Upper School students, teachers, and families at our celebration of National College Decision Day on May 1, 2025.
A “lifer” alum of Morgan Park Academy, Payne holds degrees from Vanderbilt University and Belmont University College of Law. She works as a Law Fellow in Vanderbilt University’s Office of the General Counsel, where she provides legal support to various campus partners.
“I knew that I would not be the student or the lawyer or woman I am without MPA,” she told the Class of 2025.
“No matter how competitive, no matter how strong the curve or how scarce the opportunities may seem, remember this little corner on the south side of Chicago, made up of the most diverse individuals, and you remember that there is room for everyone.”
