We invite parents to schedule virtual conferences with teachers on Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. To provide time for everyone, families are limited to 10 minutes per student with each teacher. Doubles Team Wins 3 Matches at State

Congratulations to Ayanna and Brooke on winning three matches in doubles play at the IHSA Class 1A girls tennis state tournament on Oct. 21-22, 2021! The senior duo opened with a win before dropping into the consolation bracket with a second-round loss. They rallied to win in the consolation second round and third round, earning the chance to continue playing into Friday's second day of the tournament. Their run ended with a fourth-round loss. Girls Tennis Places 3rd at Sectionals

Varsity girls tennis tied for third at the sectional tournament on Oct. 15, 2021, with six Warriors competing in singles and doubles. Ayanna and Brooke teamed up to win the doubles championship, qualifying to return to the IHSA Class 1A state tournament for the third and second times, respectively. Celia, Jada, and the doubles team of Michaela and Madison also chipped in as the Warriors posted a strong showing at sectionals. MPA’s boys and girls tennis programs have sent players to the state tournament in 19 of the past 21 years, including 2009 and 2011 state singles champion Jerricka Boone.

Undone by their own errors, the Warriors found themselves in a 17-14 hole against Intrinsic Charter. Ortiz was ready to provide that boost—and then some. After a virtual event last year, nearly 300 parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends gathered Oct. 16, 2021 to celebrate and support Morgan Park Academy at the Annual Fund Gala, raising nearly $300,000 for student programs, faculty professional development, financial assistance, and facilities improvements.
