Last week was Pitch Day for our Summer Business Incubator class, five intrepid Upper School entrepreneurs who came up with small business ideas and created comprehensive business plans in an intensive, four-week summer session.

After identifying a problem or opportunity that a business could solve, students designed a company and product; conducted a thorough analysis of their industry, location, revenue model, and more; and finally, presented detailed business plans to visiting experts.

Their entrepreneurial visions covered a wide spectrum of small business ideas: a youth baseball training facility, a new digital tablet for artists, a cartoon-themed restaurant for Naperville nostalgists, a new spin on piano lessons in Beverly, and a luxury building of small apartments for young adults in University Village.
