Morgan Park Academy’s longstanding commitment to service was on full display on May 17, 2019, during our all-school Service Day for the spring semester, involving students and teachers from Pre-K to 12th grade.

Upper School

Students in grades 9-12 left campus to volunteer with a variety of community organizations, including Feed My Starving Children, Greater Chicago Food Depository, The Courage Program, Park Lawn Services, Smith Village, and Burr Oak Elementary.

Middle School

Students in grades 6-8 spearheaded and participated in a K-8 walkathon to benefit Almost Home, which provides assistance to the poor, the hungry, and the homeless.

Lower School

Teachers from preschool through fifth grade selected developmentally appropriate areas of service for their children. Chosen service learning projects not only had curricular tie-ins, but were also relevant and meaningful to our students. All of our Lower School students gracefully and enthusiastically answered the call to help others and give back to the local and global community.
