Morgan Park Academy’s graduating seniors had some very exciting options as they made their college decisions this spring.
The Class of 2019 earned $4.3 million in scholarship offers and gained admission at elite national universities such as Emory University, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Michigan, New York University, George Washington University, Boston College, Howard University, and University of California at Santa Barbara; and top liberal arts schools such as Morehouse College and Denison University.
Students earned an average of nearly $190,000 in scholarship offers, including full scholarships to cover four years of tuition and housing at the University of Michigan and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
In the past decade, MPA students have been accepted by 33 of the nation’s top 35 colleges and universities, as ranked by US News & World Report, despite a trend that has seen acceptance rates dip into the single digits at the most selective schools.
This group includes (in alphabetical order):
California Institute of Technology
Carnegie Mellon University
Georgia Institute of Technology
Johns Hopkins University
New York University
University of California, Berkeley
University of California, Irvine
University of California, Los Angeles

University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill

Students in that time also have been admitted to nearly all of US News’ top liberal arts schools, several renowned historically black colleges and universities, and two prestigious military academies:

United States Military Academy
We couldn’t be prouder to see the nation’s top schools recognize the character, accomplishments, and future potential of MPA graduates.
Congratulations to all!
