Jerome A. Thrall ’44 is this year's recipient of the Richard L. Duchossois ’40 Integrity and Values Alumni Award, recognized at Morgan Park Academy’s 146th graduation exercises on June 8, 2019. The Duchossois Award is Morgan Park Academy’s highest award for alumni, given annually in recognition of its namesake’s lifetime achievements, outstanding professional success, and service to the Academy, his community, and society. Previous recipients include Dr. Frank Burd ’52, Denny Cresap ’52, Bill Hickey ’71, Al Hoffman Jr. ’52, Jim Mitchell ’61, Rajeev Rathi ’84, and Spencer Stuart ’40. We were pleased to welcome Sumara M. Thompson-King ’76 back to campus to deliver the commencement address at Morgan Park Academy’s 146th graduation exercises on June 8, 2019. As General Counsel at NASA since 2014, Thompson-King serves as the chief legal officer for the agency and oversees its team of attorneys responsible for all aspects of NASA’s legal affairs around the world. Morgan Park Academy's graduating seniors had some very exciting options as they made their college decisions this spring. The Class of 2019 earned $4.3 million in scholarship offers and gained admission at elite national universities such as Emory University, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Michigan, New York University, George Washington University, Boston College, Howard University, and University of California at Santa Barbara; and top liberal arts schools such as Morehouse College and Denison University.
