Senior standouts Brent McKnight and Isis Rodriguez took home team MVP awards as we honored the best of the MPA winter sports season with awards banquets for varsity and middle school basketball on Feb. 26.

Isis ended her high school career with 1,705 career points, including 569 this season — setting new program records with both marks — en route to becoming MPA’s first All-State player in seven years. She and fellow all-ISL honorees Abigail Herman and Amaya McLachlan led the varsity girls to a program-record 21 wins, reaching the Class 1A regional finals.

Brent was named ISL Player of the Year, finishing his MPA career with 1,002 points despite playing only two seasons for the Warriors. His team also reached the regional finals.

Monday’s banquets also saw Christian Cunningham, Andrew Delaney, Kevin Frazier, Sheridan Harris, Matthew McKnight, Jordan Moore, Kaitlyn Mullings, Nora Perry, and Tim Rooney receive individual awards.
