Duchossois ’40 Integrity and Values Alumni Award at the Academy's 145th graduation exercises on June 9, 2018. MPA Students Attend Women in Science Conference

Four Morgan Park Academy students had a unique opportunity to explore potential careers in science and engineering at the 31st annual Science Careers in Search of Women conference at Argonne National Laboratory on April 19, 2018. MPA senior Noor Noghnogh and juniors Halle Berghoff, Maya Lopez, and Amaya McLachlan met Argonne’s world-class women scientists and engineers, attended career panel discussions and presentations, and toured science and engineering facilities across the lab.

Science Standouts Finish in Top 3 at WYSE State Finals

Tony Tang and Adam Wu continued Morgan Park Academy’s history of success at the WYSE (Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering) state finals, placing second and third in Division 300, respectively, in physics on April 18, 2018, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. One key part of Morgan Park Academy's global curriculum is a school-wide Global Week each March. Upper School and Middle School students and teachers come together outside the classroom to share a broader range of learning experiences focused on language and culture, service, and sustainability. Lower School students explore the world's countries and cultures closer to home. Eighth-Graders Honored at Student Leadership Breakfast

Four Morgan Park Academy students were among 13 local eighth-graders chosen to participate in the annual student leadership breakfast hosted at the Academy by Alderman Matt O'Shea, State Senator Bill Cunningham, and State Representative Fran Hurley on May 4, 2018. Celia Echols, Faiz Hashmi, D'J. King, and Hannah Sipich were selected by Middle School faculty for this honor.
