Welcoming the Year of the Rooster

Morgan Park Academy students marked the Lunar New Year and welcomed the Year of the Rooster with a celebration of Chinese history and culture from ancient to modern times on Jan. 25, 2017. Led by our international students from China, the annual MPA event also featured students in Upper School and Middle School Mandarin language classes and saw a host of musical and dance performances and presentations about Chinese history, traditions, and popular culture.

Tech Lab Gets New 3D Printers

The Tech Lab now has two 3D printers. These printers will enhance the school’s STEM program and allow us to continue to implement science, technology, engineering, and mathematics into the curriculum.  Hands-on learning enables students to design, create, and test their subject matter. Using web-based programming software for the design process gives students full-range of the creative process - from beginning to end. Pictured are a teddy bear finger puppet and a bishop chess piece.
