We welcomed an ensemble from Imagination Theater on March 3 for “No Secrets,” a special program for students in Kindergarten through Grade 8.

Imagination Theater presented age-appropriate shows for three separate groups (Kindergarten through Grade 2; Grades 3-5; and Grades 6-8) and followed up with classroom workshops. Students were encouraged to talk with a certified counselor on site if they have questions or concerns.

Sponsored by the O’Shaughnessy Foundation, this award-winning, dynamic, theatrical program aims to 1) create awareness and encourage children to think about the kinds of touch they get and their feelings about touch; 2) discuss the difference between touch that is appropriate and safe and touch that is not; and 3) emphasize that if you are touched in a way that makes you uncomfortable, it is not your fault and you should tell an adult that you trust.

As the safety and well-being of our children is always a top priority, we encourage all parents to continue to discuss this very important topic at home.
