Morgan Park Academy was pleased to once again host our friends and neighbors April 27 for the 19th Ward's annual breakfast for student leaders from local middle schools. Nineteen eighth-graders, including MPA students Angela Cabrera and Jonah Dobrutsky, were the honored guests of Ald. Matt O'Shea, state Sen. Bill Cunningham, and state Rep. Fran Hurley. Students Explore Potential Future Paths on Alumni Career Day

MPA Ranked No. 4 in the State Among Private High Schools

Morgan Park Academy ranks No. 4 among all private high schools in Illinois, according to a report from the rankings and reviews website Niche.com. The report ranks schools based on a combination of school data and parent and student surveys, weighting academics at 60 percent of a school's overall grade, student culture and diversity at 30 percent, and survey responses at 10 percent. MPA received an overall grade of A, and also ranked in the top 150 among all private high schools in the nation. Senior Finishes 3rd at WYSE State Finals

Senior Jeffrey Eichinger achieved Morgan Park Academy’s best individual finish in three years at the WYSE (Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering) state finals, placing third in Division 300 in engineering graphics. Jeffrey, who also competed in computer science, was among six MPA students who qualified for the state finals, held April 16, 2015, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. One key part of Morgan Park Academy's global curriculum is a school-wide Global Week each March. Upper School and Middle School students and teachers come together outside the classroom to share a broader range of learning experiences focused on language and culture, service, and sustainability. Lower School students explore the world's countries and cultures closer to home.
