Global Studies is an integral part of a Morgan Park Academy education, fully integrated into the student experience inside and outside the classroom. Learning in a culturally and socioeconomically diverse environment, students of all ages prepare to meet head-on the challenges of an increasingly global world by exploring language & culture, service and environmental sustainability.
Across the curriculum — humanities, world languages, fine arts, math, science and more — and through co-curricular and experiential learning, students are able to:
Master the knowledge and specific skills to understand the languages, histories and cultures of our global community
Develop an understanding of their role in this community as well as the compassion and motivation needed to act on this understanding
Understand the importance of protecting the environment and be prepared to work toward environmental sustainability in their endeavors
Gain the critical thinking skills and leadership experience essential to effecting change
Emerge with a sense of hope about their ability to make a positive difference in the world
