Summer Programs
June 24 to August 16, 2013
Morgan Park Academy offers summer programs for children in Preschool to Grade 8. Campers choose from a variety of portals that help create an experience that is specific to their talents and interests. Academic enrichment, fine and performing arts, recreation and sports are just a few of the program portals offered this year.
Camps are available in four two-week sessions beginning June 24 through August 16. Parents are invited to register for one or all sessions depending on their child’s needs and interests.
Early drop-off and after-care programs are available for parents who would like the convenience of extended care. Camps fill up quickly and space is limited, so be sure to register early. Please visit the site frequently for information and updates of new classes and camps.
Enrichment Portal
The enrichment portal includes classes designed for students entering Grades 1 through 8 who would like to explore an area of curiosity or interest. Bizzare Science, Puppet Making, and Anime Studio are just a few of the classes you will find in the Enrichment Portal being offered this year. Back by popular demand are Mindstorms Robotics, Ceramics, and Pop-Up Books.
Academic Portal
This portal provides academic instruction for students entering grade 1 through grade 8. Designed to help strengthen and further enrich students’ academic skills, instruction is tailored to meet the needs of average to gifted students.
Recreation Portal
The Recreation Portal exposes children to drama, music, art, and science investigations. Campers who participate in the Recreation Portal will have the opportunity to show off newly learned skills in the end of summer camp performance.
Sports Portal
Baseball, Basketball, soccer, tennis, and volleyball are offered in this portal. Camps are run by Morgan Park Academy’s coaches and faculty. This is a wonderful opportunity to hone sports skills in a relaxed and nurturing environment.
Mini Sports Camp
10:30-11:30 campers entering grades 3 to 9 may participate in a portion of the Sports Camps.
General Information
- Before-care is available from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and after-care is available from 3-6 p.m.
- Enrichment and Academic Portals are offered from 8:30-10:30 a.m.
- Recreation and Sports Portals are offered from 10:30-3:00 p.m.
- Four two-week sessions are available
- Early bird special available until May 1, 2013
- A non- refundable deposit of $100 is required at time of registration
